In Progress

Jessica Kupferman 1:35
Okay, I think I see something

Jessica Kupferman 1:43
Do you see me? I see you Why are birds sunny up here? Every time you are near, just like me, they longed to be close to you. Okay, we are here we are on. I think we are alive. It’s a little scary.

Jessica Kupferman 2:24
How’s it going? Um, I’m here, all by myself. There’s nobody Oh. So this is what you get is a bunch of me the quiet quality, it can’t be my camera because that would just be messed up. So those of you who are here, if you’re here you can, I’m going to share my screen and show you where to put the cube. So the Q’s belong. Here we are in the page, you go down here, you should see where it says ask. Then you ask up here. And you can even ask it anonymously if you want. So that’s how you do that. If you want to ask any questions, feel free. There is literally no buddy here. This is the loneliest bed ever done ever. I will be in here until 210. And then if no one has anything, I will go. Because this is just going to be a very embarrassing recording or wise. So what are guys we’re on I want to know, I’ll tell you I’m working on today I am working on moving the membership site and the cheapest site to a new hosting company called known host which developer recommended and the reason why I’m moving is because I feel like our websites are super slow. And I don’t want to do it myself. I hired a developer to help me just finish out with the major I’m doing everything correctly. And he noticed so and gave me this recommendation. I’m always worried change hosts because I don’t want my sites to go down and I know this hosting company but it is a lot more real. I mean it’s a lot more. What’s the word? cheaper, it’s cheaper. And I think I’ve been overpaying for the other one for a while so I’m going to not do that instead and just see how it goes. So um I’m going to switch that out. I wish that I was, you know, I have a brand new camera. And it’s just not cool that it looks like this. I wonder why. I’m trying to you know what, I wonder if I close some other stuff? I’m going to close them stone. I’m going to close some stuff up that is actually helping. I cannot believe it. The only thing I have open is slack with me get rid of pages because that way I can see if Elsie tells me anything. So we have slack we have Oh, I have membership open, denote can be closed. You guys do this when you’re recording? Do you close all the things in order to like get better? video for yourselves. And then here’s InDesign. I’ve been in all the things this week. how healthy someone was in here, but they left? I think so Elsie is in my chat. Hi, Elsie. It’s just me and you. This is a sad, weird experience. I think that someone that was in there was me to be honest.

Jessica Kupferman 6:29
Oh, it’s Rebecca. Hi, Rebecca. What’s up? How’s it going? Very Nice to see you. There is a tiny little delay. What’s going on? What are you working on? Rebecca, tell me all about you. And your your week and your show? You found her strolling in the halls. I mean, thank you for bringing people into my workshop. I appreciate it so much. Do you know that I have like makeup here just in case, I have a quick call for someone and I don’t have the right lips on or something? Oh, this is lips. I’m gonna put this on. Hi, Rebecca. So unlike Facebook, I can’t necessarily like, click on your name and learn more about you. So if you would, I mean, and I also can’t see your face because it’s just like, backup smiley face. So tell me who you are. Tell me about your show. Let’s solve all your problems today. You’re thrilled not to go on FB. See, that’s why we moved it. We moved it specifically so that you don’t have to Hi, Jenny. We moved it specifically so that you don’t have to go on Facebook. And I actually I’m not gonna lie. I am tired of Facebook as well. Not even because I’m reading about all the terrible things they do. Although that does upset me. It’s also just because I don’t know I just what is on Facebook. Exactly. I mean, I like the events. I like the marketplace. I don’t even think about looking at the news. I very rarely care what everyone else is up to like in my feed. And I only see like, one 100th of the feed because the short amount of time I’m on and the fact that like I probably see like four things and then I’m off. I don’t scroll down. I don’t go deep at all. I probably should just do like, what’s the most recent. Sometimes I do search and most recent just to see if something interesting is happening right then. But for the most part, I don’t see anything and then people are like, Oh, you didn’t see what I posted on Facebook. Well, no, no, I didn’t. I don’t go on there. I don’t look. It’s not that I don’t care about what’s happening with everyone, but it’s just too much. I care. Our ink is my show. I honestly don’t have any problems to address. I just want to check out the new platform and lurk hard when you’re one of two though. What do you mean one of two like as in you and your host co host you mean? Oh, sorry. I hate stuff in my ears. These earbuds though does like it’s either this or I flattened my hair with this craziness. And I just don’t want to flatten my hair all the time. So I got these at the recommendation of Miss Elsie Escobar. And while I love them I don’t like sticking stuff in my ears. Oh, half the chat and me. Yeah, yeah, LC called your ass out, didn’t she? Did anyone else have trouble getting into this day? I kept getting error messages. Danielle, can you either screenshot or just tell me what the error messages are? Was it that you had a hard time logging in Wasn’t that you had had a hard time finding this page? What be more specific because I want to fix that because we haven’t launched yet and the video went away Oh, that’s I think that was me. I think I had too many things open because I closed a bunch of stuff and then it went away. I’d love to know what you guys I mean, if you wouldn’t mind since you’re here if no none of you have questions you have questions post them I know Daniel, you’ll think of something but if anyone if anyone minds to tell me like what they think about the inside of the super squad, what can I improve on it? What are you noticing already what’s difficult I made a video yesterday to teach everyone how to fill out their profile and also to give them a tour around the site. So I’m going to post that in here in case you guys want to see like the Getting Started because you guys just kind of got dumped in there. You didn’t go through the onboarding process so so Super Squad blah, blah, blah, calm getting started. Alright, so I’m gonna post it here in the chat. I’d love for you guys to take a look. I can. Oh, oops message. Yeah, Elsie, it even showed up as the oops message, didn’t it? That’s weird. I think the proper link is Super Squad dot Shi p comm slash livestream. I believe that is the right one. And that’s probably why you kept getting four fours.

Jessica Kupferman 11:28
Thank you for explaining that though. I appreciate it. She used the link in the email, and it said, oops, no page, what email? Did I send an email today? Was it the email from yesterday? Then she said she copied and pasted her notes. And then it was so sorry. Okay, so that’s certainly something to fix. I’m going to put that down right now. Look at the four four page versus login page, I want to see how that works out. Our first official paying customer today, my friend Holly joined. Even though it’s not open, she’s been like waiting with a credit card for four days. And she offered to help me test the process. The welcome email went to her spam, which she didn’t look in for a half hour made me feel like I was losing my damn mind. And then oh, and also when she was paying wouldn’t take her zip code. But then I did it and it worked fine. So I don’t know what her problem is. It’s always good when you have someone. I do love Holly. But But uh, she’s a good person to test stuff. Because if there’s a user error possible, then most likely she will produce it. It’s not a nice thing to say. But it’s funny because it’s true. So let’s see what else what else so yeah, so I am switching my host. Just for the main She Podcasts sites. I’m switching hosts. And I’m also on a panel tonight. I don’t know if you guys knew that. I am on a panel tonight. I will put the link in here it is how to rock your podcast. Laura powers wrote an awesome book called How to rock your podcast, start, grow, launch, monetize all the things. I’ll put the link in here so you guys can join. It’s at 8pm St. And it’s a panel about learning how to make money from your show and includes me, Alison melody. Um, who does food heals Marisa eemaan, who is a musician and voiceover artist, Wendy Myers, who’s host of the Myers detox podcast, Laura who’s a celebrity psychic. And Adam shavel. Who is the PhD previously heavy dude and host of the top ring fitness podcast, million pound mission. That’s a lot of healthy stuff. I mean, she must clearly be in a Uber healthy group of Facebook, podcast friends, but here’s the link anyway. I will be the fattest one on the panel obviously now, which is fine. I don’t mind. It’s good to know though that everyone else is like formerly the artist, you know, the artist formerly known as unhealthy. And I’m I don’t want to say I’m unhealthy. Because I don’t think that I am but I’m certainly not the host of any million pound podcast, that’s for sure. Unless it’s how to eat a million pounds but a cha that’s my joke. That’s my joke. That’s my joke for today guys. So what else is happening? I got an email from Isaac’s teacher today. I was questioning whether or not she got money for him to have like on Mondays and Thursdays they have like a special hot lunch that I have to pay for at his school. And I said, You know, I wasn’t sure if you got the payment because he didn’t get lunch yesterday. And he never knows what’s in his bookbag at any given time. And she said, Yes, Isaac has a lot of trouble listening and following directions and focusing and staying on task. But we’re working on those skills and interest, like, instantly, my heart sank, because he’s been there two weeks, and already, he’s the kid that can’t listen and follow directions. And just so we’re all aware, I am that kid, I have a very hard time. I mean, as a kid, I listened. I mean, I followed directions, but listening was hard, cuz I was always talking. And that’s Isaac’s problem, too. I was always in trouble for talking. And I consequently, have to work really hard to follow directions. I mean, I have to have them written out in front of me, and I have to be able to check them off one by one in order to make sure that I do something right. And even then, there’s no guarantee that I will follow directions perfectly. So it kind of sucks. And I’m worried about him now. But I also immediately go on the defensive to like, well, this is regular school. And it’s not meant for everyone, some kids need to learn by running around. And sitting at desk isn’t for everyone. Like,

Jessica Kupferman 16:24
because I’m one of those stupid moms. That’s like always railing against everyone, like everyone against my kid. And I’m the mom that goes in there and praises how even though he could just sit the fuck down and be quiet. Like he could. He’s not doing it. But he could. So yeah, so I’m I don’t know if you guys have ever had that. Because I know there’s a bunch of listeners in here. I know. Some of you have children. I’ve already had two children that I got a lot of emails about, especially the my middle one Nathan, who never did his homework or paid attention or wanted to do what he was told in school. And I mean, he wasn’t even talking. He just flat out refused thought it was stupid. So while I appreciate how oppositional they are and how they like buck against authority, I’d also really like it if I could just have a peaceful one round of school peacefully and without consequence and confrontation. But you know, this QA isn’t supposed to be about me. It’s supposed to be about you. And since I can’t see I’m going to now have to open this to make sure that I’m not missing anything on the chat. Because resonance anything in a while, and I have a feeling it’s because I’m talking and not about anything regarding podcasting. So let’s see here. Oh, I’m in the wrong one. Okay, I’m going to QA. Nope. Oh, wait, maybe I’m missing the questions. Hold on. Let me go to the q&a. Nope. No questions. Okay. As long as I know that I’m not like talking over what we’re supposed to be doing. You know, what, if you want I can go through in the Facebook group, the main one and just see what some of the questions are today. and answer them. Maybe we’ll learn something. Maybe not. But maybe. Oh, sorry. Sorry, sorry. Sorry. Um, here is the age old question. I want to know what you guys think of this. Oh, Danielle wrote in Yay. Okay. Here is a question. Taking a break, as you know for from podcasting for personal reasons I’m hoping to resurface in October. But I want to know what listeners want to hear. I also mean, ease in and rerelease old episodes. Any thoughts on how to go away and come back? I mean, we do it every single winter time we go away and we come back. LC will have to remind me. She’s still in there. Can you remind me if we do old episodes, I think we either do old episodes, or I want to say last year, we did an episode for the purpose of being released between Yes, I can always count you have a question, Jamie. I really appreciate it. I can all i i’m pretty sure that we released like a Christmas one. I don’t remember if it was our wish list, because we’ve been trying to do our wish list earlier so you guys can actually shop for the things for the holiday. So okay, yeah, she said we try but we always fail. So, but we don’t do reruns. We just don’t do it. I think we just decided we’re not doing it. So I mean, as far as going away, I think not. Showing up is a good way on how to go away. And as far as coming back, I think turning on the mic and then uploading an episode is a great way to come back. That’s kind of what we do. We don’t like, we plan it, and we say, oh, we’re either gonna do like a best job, or we’re going to do but Christmas shopping list or some kind of shopping list. Where did I go? Oh, my lord. That was so crazy. Um, so we never really do it. We just say we’ll be back. We say that we will. You know, hope you enjoy your holiday, we tell people exactly what we’re going to come back. So that could be a start, Daniel, tell people when you’re coming back. If you know you’re coming back, well, you say in October or so. But give yourself a time, even if it’s November. First, just give yourself a time where you’re going to be coming back and release a trailer. I hope you guys are enjoying the fall. We’ll be back November 1 with a new episode. Until

Jessica Kupferman 21:04
then, here’s some of the ones that I’d like you to take a look at. If you’ve missed them. These are my favorite episodes. Or this is my favorite person that I interviewed or this is my favorite bunch of tips that I released and then tell them which ones to listen to. And then if you wanted to every other week, you could just release one or just have a intro to them that say yeah, I’m gonna play this one for you guys again today, because I’m a genius. And this was a genius move. So if you don’t know when, then don’t say anything, just rerelease and explain why you’re doing the re releases. And then you don’t have to have an end date because you’re still technically podcasting. So you don’t have to be like, I’ll be back with a new episode, because these are technically new episodes. Just because you’re rerunning them. You know, if you put like, what they call director’s commentary, you could just do that. And then it’s kind of a new episode, right? I mean, that’s what I think anyway. Last night, I was watching this cooking show. And the guy was spatchcocking. Chicken. Which by the way, if you don’t know, is when you take a chicken and you slice it down the back, like to the backbone, like next to the backbone, you open it up like this. So the legs are like, out, like your, you know, like the drumsticks are out and you put it flat and you roast the chicken like that so that it evenly cooks that person how important the partner is important is that while he was cooking, his moderator was looking for questions. So one of the questions was, do you really need a sharp sharp knife for that? Or does it not need to be that sharp and just without even a beat? He goes, I really can’t think of any any situation where you would want a dull knife. I thought that was so funny. I mean, like cuz he has the that’s a good point. What would you need a dull knife? Certainly not for murder. You want to keep that baby sharp. So I just thought that was funny. And since I can’t hear you guys laughing It’s just me laughing at me, which might be obnoxious. Anyway, so yeah, this is kind of the same like not to make fun of you, Danielle. But it did kind of remind me that like, how do you go away? And then how do you come back? Like the best way to go away? Yeah, dude, it’ll be a replay. You can get the you can get all of them. I will give we will have all them. I’m so sorry. But yeah, the way you go away is you just stop showing up in the way you come back is show up again. Sorry, it’s gonna resist. Rebecca. Here’s a question. I know that you have your hands and a lot of interests and you’ve had a lot of jobs. I’m a multi potential like you just so my question is what drives you keep going and She Podcasts? How is it different from all the other things you’ve let go up? You know, that is a very good question.

Unknown Speaker 24:04
I have

Jessica Kupferman 24:06
I have a this is a great question, actually. Because I’m not. I’m not exactly stopped and thought about why I stick with this and not having stuck with other things because I’ve had other jobs while I’ve been doing this. But this is always the one So ever since the beginning. I’ll see LC says it’s me. It is her on some level. Because I don’t normally have good luck with business partners. I get bored. The project gets boring. And I wanted and I end up wanting to do something for myself. So at this moment, she paused Podcasts is the thing that consistently gives me reward for doing the work. So like what You’re in a job working for someone new and you do the job every day and you do it well once in a while someone will say Good job. But for the most part, you don’t get to see how you’ve impacted someone. And with with She Podcasts, I see that all the time I see it growing all the time. People post in there all the time, even if they don’t thank us just the fact that they say, so happy for this group. And I’m so excited that I’ve got this many downloads, and I’m so like ready for this. And I’ve can’t believe I’ve gotten that, and oh my god I’ve launched today. That is extremely gratifying. It is not so far the most lucrative business encounter that I’ve had, in fact, the agency was the most lucrative thing I’ve ever done. And I sold it. Because I was mostly just selling ads on big shows. And I wanted to sell on independence. And I couldn’t, because nobody would buy them because they were too small and I wasn’t making money. So I sold that even though it made me the most money. And I know not everyone is in that situation. But I also was at a point even then that was four years ago, I was also at a point with where I knew that this could make money. And so on the side Elsie and I tried to make money in different ways. We did a course we did meetups, I forget what else webinar series, we did some other stuff. And none of it was really like, I don’t think either one of us wanting to make money that way. Because what we really like to do is work with you guys, whether it’s together or apart. I mean, sometimes we share clients where they go to her and then they come to me, sometimes it’s just me, sometimes it’s just her. A lot of it is LC because she does keep me going. It’s also having someone in the industry that you can relate to and like, and like she still has a corporate job so she can vent to me about whatever she’s working on at Libsyn. And then I can vent to her about all the things I’m building for She Podcasts that aren’t working, or, you know, she actually just having having the ability to talk some something out with someone, even if I’m just typing it, I will eventually come to my own conclusion with her a little bit of like, I see why that’s a problem. Well, have you tried this? What did you think of that? And like through just a couple questions, I can solve it. That’s really helpful than then years and years and years of working on your own and praying that you’re doing the right thing. And inquiring advice from someone like a spouse who has no fucking clue what you’re doing like i i thought that i don’t want to ask questions. It’s just that I have to explain everything I’ve done up until that point, Elsie already knows those things. So that makes it a lot easier to stick with it. Some of it is that I mean, I don’t know what I would do if I left She Podcasts. Maybe I’m a little bit like what I do. I love helping women with their podcasts in any way I can. I think the podcasting community is awesome. I think the people that podcasts are fascinating. They have a very interesting recipe personality recipe of like, ballsy, introverted, passionate. What’s the word Ting, not tingling. But they can be a little touchy. It’s unpredictable. It’s all the things I actually like about my husband, like he’s a class. He’s not even a podcaster. But he’s a little bit touchy. He’s kind of funny. He’s pretty outgoing. But kind of an introvert. I mean, like, I like when things are unpredictable. The industry is very unpredictable. So I haven’t gotten bored there because it’s very interesting to see from where it’s come and where it’s going. As far as being a multi potential, I

Jessica Kupferman 28:54
will say this, if you’ve noticed, I’ve done a lot of different things in She Podcasts. And that is probably another reason why I’ve been able to stay so long is that I have the freedom to make a T shirt store one day, or I have the freedom to start writing blog posts if I want or I have the freedom to do a meet up in Philadelphia, or I have the freedom to start taking clients or to stop taking clients or to do a course or to not do a course like it’s an entity under which I can still explore all the stuff that’s interesting to me if I want. And I don’t even know if this is helpful for you, Rebecca, because I’m not sure what you do necessarily for a living. But a podcast can work that way on some level, you can have it steer you in a bunch of different directions. You can do voiceover you can do speaking you can avoid both of those things and have events you don’t have to get in front of anyone ever and just take advertisers like there’s a million different ways that you can make money or you can just, you know, forget if you get tired of trying to grow the audience and trying to make money you could just do it as a hobby or you could stop podcasting you could start different podcasts about something else. So lots of stuff is open for interpretation. I would say that corporate jobs are not really open to interpretation. But if you can find something that you’re doing on the side, and you know that it’s going to make money that could make money, you can start poking. You know, the other thing. You’re welcome for sharing all that. That’s my pleasure. I know that it’s not easy to be, I’ll say, gifted in so many ways. And so it also can feel very unsettling when you can’t explore those right now. I want to do like a regular t shirt store, not necessarily a podcast one, like I want to do women’s one, where I just like, write funny stuff on the T shirts. And I don’t have time right now. And it can it can. It grates on me sometimes, because I really, you know, I also like to read books, and I never really do that, because I’m busy and that grates on me sometimes. She says my first podcast led to an audiobook career. Now I’m struggling to do the podcast, I love a Ha. So that makes sense. It is hard to do the free podcast that you love, I think. I mean, honestly, having a coach sometimes when I don’t want to do it, having a co host makes me do it. There are days when I don’t want to do it, but I know she’s gonna do it. I can’t just be like, I’m not doing it today. You have to, you have to. So I don’t know if you could get a co host to do the free podcasts that you love. But you could imagine the one listener out there who relies on it every week to get them through whatever it is that they’re getting through. Regardless of what your topic is, someone out there listening is going on. She didn’t do a show this week. Damn. I remember when I first started listening to podcasts, I was learning how to be a graphic designer, there was a graphic design podcast. And when he skipped, I think he did it twice a week, they were like 10 minute shows. But when he skipped one, I was devastated. My whole, like, routine for that day was completely off. So know that your listeners need you. And I think it does help you. Like, I know that you have a career and talking. But I also think if you block it on your schedule, and say this is the time I’m going to do this. I think if you block it on your schedule, you’ll have a bit easier time of doing it. And plus, if it’s the thing that you enjoy, I mean, I realized that it doesn’t make the box, but sometimes it can feel you for the things you don’t enjoy. And I’m not saying you don’t enjoy your career, because that’s silly. But I am saying that. I mean, audiobooks can’t always be fascinating. It’s not like you’re doing audiobooks for Oprah. I’m sure that you’re voicing books on subjects, sometimes they you give zero apps about. So that can’t be easy. So I would think Jenny says that her podcast is used for rage running. When I did leave business radio people will tell me all the time they did it. They did it while they did their laundry. They listened while they worked out in the morning like so interesting. People do. But yeah, they’re counting on you believe it or not. I know they’re counting on you. And I mean, even when Elsie and I take a break, Danielle, like we take a break. And people are like, oh, what the hell am I gonna do between now and New Year’s we get emails like that. So I just say do the free podcast you love it means one last hour with your kids. Well, so be it, they’ll live. But you might not your sanity is important to darnit That’s what I’m saying. And you know, yeah, if you are much, much and also Yeah, finding business partners helps because you’re accountable to someone besides just you.

Jessica Kupferman 33:51
Or even talking about what you’re working on helps. Because then other people know that you’re up to something and they’ll end up asking you about it. And then what you have to say nothing because you’re only doing the thing you’re getting paid for I don’t know. You’re welcome. You’re welcome. You’re welcome. It’s my pleasure. What else is happening? I’m sorry that you have a new webcam and I thought I’m gonna look so fly and I don’t because my internet is unstable it says unstable connection. I can see this as unstable connection. That’s very irritating. Oh, well. What can you do? What can you do? Okay, so for those of you who are watching right now, you know I wonder if I can do a poll Can I yeah, I’m gonna do a poll. Um, let’s see if this works. Okay, you guys hang in here with me for just a second. I want to know if coming to the new membership site is hard because

Jessica Kupferman 35:17
Okay, I’m going to create a poll. And I’m going to open it ready. Let’s see how it goes. vote. Can you guys see it? I think it’s under where you type a message? Do you guys see it? Under where you type messages as if coming to the new membership and then you can just vote right there? I believe it’s anonymous because I can’t see who’s voted. If I had to guess, though, I would guess the person that voted first is barney frank. But I won’t know for sure. I don’t know how many people are here. Exactly. But if you could just vote and then I’ll show you the, and then I’ll be able to show you look, I think I can show you guys while it’s happening, check it out.

Jessica Kupferman 36:20
Okay, so it’s just a graphic with telling you what the these are the choices? Are, I’m going to publish the results just to show you how this works. Wow, see that? Okay, so most of you said, it’s just something new. One of you said, Why do you have to change it? And one of you said, we’re just used to being on Facebook. Do you guys think that? We should keep it on Facebook. I’d love to know that. I don’t want to do another poll, though. But I’d love to hear in the chat. Whether you guys think like, Is it too much of a hassle? I mean, yeah, I built this. I mean, the whole theme has the membership part portion of it. And I really do want it to be more like a huva app than it is Facebook. But you know, what? What’s the No, no, don’t stay on Facebook. We’re not going to stay on Facebook. I know. It’s just a new place. I know. But I want there to be more in there for you guys, like so much more than Facebook offers. Not just the lessons, not just the templates. I mean, we you know, also it’s just that we’ve been putting files. Andrea says I hate Facebook more and more every day. I do too. Alright, so you guys are with us. I just, I was on for a couple minutes, maybe two or three? All by myself. No LC no questions no people watch. And I felt a little bit like, Oh, no, I’ve abandoned them. Like LC and I wanted to get off of Facebook for you guys. And maybe you felt abandoned. But it seems like you’re happy with this situation. So that’s good. Don’t forget, for those of you who came a little later, there is a link in the chat for our getting started page. I will post it again. Go through it with the suggestions as to what to do when you get in there first. We will put the link in reminder and FB and we’re also going to email it to you. I’ve got to email it to you as well. I’m just trying to figure out how to do that without having to remember to do it like should I do it automated lien. Should I have like Active Campaign do it. The fbla took you to an error page because LC I think did the wrong. I don’t know why that happened. Actually. Maybe because she wasn’t logged in when she did it. I don’t know. You’re not the only one that said that though. Andrea. A couple of people said that as well. Um links in here are not hyperlinks. We’ll copy and paste. I don’t know why. Yes, that is. No, it’s not shit. You’re right. I wonder why. Oh, my God, look at that video. Oh, so sorry. Anyway, yeah, you have to log in first. Yes, you do have to? Well, I mean, because it’s behind a paywall. Of course, you’re gonna log in first. silly, silly. I say I’m so much I apologize. So I’ll just say so instead. So does anyone else have any other questions? For me for today for this day? And this time? For this time and day, Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. This is the singing portion of today’s presentation. What else can we talk about? I like Jess, I like you, Elsie. Thank you. That’s not a question though. But thank you. What’s the weather like where everyone is? This is it’s like 5060 degrees today. I have not played with spout. You know what I did do one Spotify ad. And I have no idea if it gave me any result because I never looked, I’m gonna have to do it again. I think you should try. It’s all just play. So start out with as minimal of an investment as you possibly can and then work from there. I might do Spotify add for our membership. That’s not a bad idea. Jenny says she’s loved to hear thoughts on emerge store. I think you should do one. I will say that it wasn’t my If it were up to me, I would have launched the membership first. And then the merge store LLC had a specific need to have the birch for webinars and certain things we were doing to like, like will were the merge in order to sell the membership. But that said, I want to pay more attention to it. Because once

it’s running, I’ve also noticed that it’s tricky at this moment, Jenny because of COVID. So printers, like with printer fi, which is how I did the printing. So printers go away and come and come and go and come and go. So if you think you have a tank top from this printer, and then all of a sudden they’re in capacity because they ran out of shirts and nobody’s sending any more, you have to change printers to this printer, and then this printer comes back. So it can be a little bit it doesn’t happen like eight times a day, it’s like once a month, maybe that’s happened maybe twice, but it’s just something you have to keep up on. And some of the merchandise that I get through that aren’t t shirts, because I have, you know Alibaba as another supplier. There’s other suppliers you can do. You just have to check a certain, you know, check all different places to make sure things have sent that they’re being delivered on time. And I think if I were inundated with orders, it would might be hard to manage while launching. I don’t think it would be hard to manage if you’re not doing anything else, which is what I was hoping for. So once the membership is launched, and everything is smooth, I will go back to the merchandise store and add some more stuff. In fact, I love nothing makes me happier than adding stuff to the store. It is my favorite thing to do. I love shopping online. I love finding cool stuff. I love making cool stuff. I love making colorful stuff and fun stuff. So I’m in heaven with the store. I want to do it all the time and nothing else. But you know, this is the life of a multi potential, right is that we just do that. We just do that stuff. So yeah, I think you should do it. It’s been really fun. I’m having Scott helped me with the orders because like the one order that’s been giving me trouble is Carlini mo but she’s in Australia, she ordered something cool. It got delayed, a started coming again, it got delayed again. So think she she ordered something in August and it’s still not with her. And that’s been frustrating because also I love her and I love my customers and I don’t want you guys to be in a position where you’re annoyed that you haven’t gotten something that you ordered from us because it just makes us look bad even though we have nothing to do with it. It makes us look really bad. So that’s something to think about too. On some level your reputation is online if the printers don’t behave themselves. So what else what else? What else? I would love to play more with Spotify as an I’d love to hear what you have to say about Spotify as when you’re done doing that? Because I do think that that’s important. What else what else can we talk about? What else can we talk about? What else can we talk about? What else can we talk about? doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo Did you guys know that Joe Biden lives right down the street from me. It’s true. And when I hear something mean about him I get upset because I don’t know he just he’s in my he’s like a neighbor and his son is my husband’s age and his daughter doesn’t and a lot of mental health work here and I don’t know it’s just weird. So weird to have somebody like I don’t know him personally but just weird to have someone down the street. Danielle says are you happy with your setup or would t public or something like that not have the printer issue. So I am happy with my setup, I don’t. So the reason why I don’t specifically use teepublic is because very few of their products go over to x. And I know that I have She Podcasts owners that are three, four x. So I try to find products that fall into that size category, they need to be able to do extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, and then two, and three, and possibly four, if they will, if I can find that I’m even happier. So yeah, I mean, I think I also know that teepublic, they have the same thing. They’re not dropshippers. But they do have very specific printers that they use, and some are different than others all kind of do that. So I’m not sure it would be too much different between what I’m doing and T public. You can also use if you want an another option, you can use redbubble. Use cafe press, you can use Zazzle

design, Inc. And there’s one that LC likes with a woman woman’s girl Inc, girl can’t remember Happy Independence Day to LC for El Salvador Independence Day. Andrea says I’m trying to decide how to charge him to consult on setting up a Spotify campaign. When I never have before. I mean, technically what you’re doing is charging for your time. So like, I don’t know how long it takes to set up a Facebook ad. But it’s got to be at least an hour. So charge for an hour of your time, because you’re going to be consulting them. And then you’re going to be figuring it out. You don’t want to charge them for the time that you’re learning how to do it. But you should tell them you know, I’m happy to do this. I’m new to it. So I will charge you the you know this price for my time and then we will see how it goes. Or you can try it yourself first. Then consult them on it like do a quick campaign like tomorrow for like six bucks or whatever they let you do for the least amount of money. Customized girl. Thank you. I knew there was a girl in there somewhere. Yeah, so do one for yourself, do one for your own show for the creative imposter. And just see what you can get or see if you I mean, at the very least you’ll have walked through the process. And you’ll be able to see analytics within like 24 hours. Andrea, the difference between having them set it up and the creative. That’s not full sentence. So I can’t help with that. I guess you were saying? I wonder if it bothers Elsie, that she’s here. But she doesn’t have the mic. Because Elsie and I aren’t necessarily people that want the mic, or to take the mic from others. In fact, we like it when other people are talking. But I’m just wondering if it’s difficult for her to know an answer that I don’t know and not be able to just jump in and say it. That would probably irk me. Okay, so she says, okay, they want her to advise on Creative as well as a Spotify ad campaign? Well, I think you I mean, advertising on creative, if that’s something you already do for social should be easy enough. Creative is more valuable. And you already know how to do that. That’s not that I was gonna say that’s not hard. It is hard. For some people, it’s probably not hard for you. So that’s why I said, Yeah, you should just pay have them pay for your time, regardless of how much Try to imagine that however much they’re going to pay you will need at least an hour of figuring out and if you end strategy and training and stuff like that, but don’t have them pay for that. But think about how much a console is on other channels and and charge that because you will at least do the work for another channel. At the very least I think. I hope that’s helpful. If you have any further questions, I’m sure Elsie would love to talk about it with you and Fisher. I can tell she’s chomping at the bit over there. It’s a beautiful day. I have a new deck. I wish we had a pet. But other than that it’s a very nice day today. I took a shower, so my hair’s not terrible. I don’t look homeless for once. I’m gonna try really hard to look less homeless on these calls. I know that I was like quarantine homeless, which meant who I mean, when I look back and see the QA that I’ve done in the last six months. I’m horribly embarrassed that my hair look like that. Yeah, standard consulting rate. I’m horribly embarrassed in my hair like that. Yeah, so the Fox has moved out they got there. I think around May and They they left about six weeks after I have an enormous amount of footage that I took of them that I mostly posted on Tick Tock it’s Tick Tock calm my handle is called some forks. So me fo rk s and I have a lot of videos on there that have gotten hundreds and thousands of views I have 15,000 followers on tik tok now for nothing that I can reproduce or show again so the Fox has moved out then we started our deck we waited for them to move I knew it wouldn’t be long because first of all it’s not that it was very small deck and there were seven babies and a mama and I don’t even know how they fit in there without I mean before the new deck much less so tiny. Yeah, it was so tiny so I they couldn’t fit under there. So yeah, they’re gone. I really we Isaac and I still went to the window like, are you they’re missing them.

Jessica Kupferman 51:08
It was so like, depressing when they moved out. I felt like I had a baby go off to college. It was terrible because we watched them every day multiple times a day. We set up our chairs at the port so that we can just look out into the yard and watch them play as he didn’t want to go out anyway because there were bees at that time. We just sat and watched them for so long and i i have to say it was sad I missed them. I don’t know if I created a situation with this new deck where they can’t come back but like it was such a fun experience. If you want to look on tik tok my again My thing is some forks I don’t have even all the footage there. I have tons of footage but it’s a lot of it is just me watching the fox lookout in a different direction. So I don’t know how interesting it is. It’s just interesting for me because like they were in my backyard the foxes in my backyard was crazy. so crazy. Anyway, anyone have anything on their Christmas list that they want to talk about? That is exciting. I just got our so we have we had Apple TV that we never used for the longest time we just set it up. And it was so good that we got a Roku set up for my mother in law because cable was like working but not great. Roku, by the way does have cable you can do cable on Roku. And now that there’s so much good stuff to watch on like Disney plus, for example, that I just got another Roku for my family room. And this Roku has special earbuds that plug into the remote. So if I want to sit with Isaac, but I don’t feel like listening to something terrible that he watches which by the way, once in a while he gets on this kick where he wants to watch baby shows like Johnny finger Johnny finger where you kind of stuff. I can just stick his little ears onto the remote and then go about my business. It’s gonna be beautiful. wonderful and beautiful. So what else my friends my fine feathered friends. Help me out. Help me out. Tell me what you want to talk about. Tell me what you actually have to go get my eyes again a few minutes. So one last question. Maybe if you guys have anything. Is it about your podcast? Is it about marketing? Is it about growing? Is it about your event? Is it about my event? She wants me to look at something called pod noise. I’m hoping to be able to go home and see my family was I hope so to Jenny. I just saw my dad for the first time since podfest. Like this past weekend. And what is and it was so nice. It just filled my heart to be able to see my own parents for once. Okay, so LSU sent me something crazy. Do you guys see the link that she went in there? Go ahead and type it in and look at it. Visit google.com type your question. Click the button. That’s it. pod nods I don’t get it. Why did I get that whole introduction to it? Tell us a podcast you like and we’ll give you more to love. Oh, all right. She Podcasts. Wow. This does not work. So there’s She Podcasts there’s overly animated she RA and the Princess of power podcast. There’s podcasts she will not be ignored. There’s she grows podcasts. We got to send them a cease and desist. I think he versus she podcast. she’s obsessed the podcast she snapped podcast who is She Podcasts free the She Podcasts. She builds she made by grace she’s crafty. She knows sports. She chat podcast. That’s what she said podcast. None of those I think are even remotely relevant to the content that we do but some of them are stealing. I bet our traffic Is that why you sent me that? I don’t know. But I definitely want to see how did they get this information? This isn’t the She gross podcast is not. I don’t know what language is, is. I think it might be an Asian language. But I don’t know but it is new. It just started this summer. I don’t know. How do we feel about that? You guys? Do we feel like we should do cease and desist even though it’s not in this language? Does that matter? I don’t even know if that matters. This is a weird thing. pod nods pod Nan’s calm. so bizarre. Wow. What else is happening with you guys?
