Hi, everyone. It’s great to be here!
I’ve been here for a while but haven’t introduced myself until now. Super excited for 2021 as I work to launch my first podcast and media group. The podcast is called Ghost and Grub. It is a bit of history, dash of haunted folklore, and a smidge of travel. Oh, and then there is the food. 😉
I’m currently working on making sure I have everything legally done right and searching for a podcast editor to put it all together. Hope to learn a lot from the Super Squad and possibly make some lasting connections.

Hi! We are brand new podcasters – just launched our trailer yesterday – so we are here to learn EVERYTHING. There are two of us, Megan and Wendy, and and we’ve owned Long Story Short, which is a YouTube channel and website for five years, and now we’re taking the next step (five years late, maybe!) https://www.meganandwendy.com/welcome-to-long-story-short-the-podcast/

That’s so awesome, congrats! I just listened to your intro episode and it sounds like you two have a lot of fun together! Glad to have ya on the podcasting journey!

Hey guys! I started my show, Run Lift Mom, in early 2019 after falling in love with podcasting as an advertising girl (anyone know Sunny Gault? I worked for her first network!) back in 2014-15.
Being a creator is much different than selling the ads (!) but I’ve found my stride on the social media side.
I’m dropping a photo of the 4 reasons I can typically be found typing up show notes on the treadmill or hiding in a closet for recording. They’re 6, 5, 5, and 5 now but this was our best Halloween showing!
- AdministratorSeptember 30, 2020 at 12:03 am
OMGosh. That’s the cutest thing ever. Look at them!
And yep, selling ads is different than doing the podcasting thing 😉
Although, selling ads is also a skill most podcasters are missing! And OMGOSH yes, I know Sunny!!!!
- MemberSeptember 30, 2020 at 12:00 pm
I thought for SURE somebody would know her! 😍I want to say I’ve heard you mention her on your show, too. Her vision for podcasting has always been spot on. I feel grateful to have worked with her!
- AdministratorSeptember 30, 2020 at 12:38 pm
We do know and LOVE Sunny Gault! Welcome, so great to have you!

That Halloween crew is the.best.
- MemberOctober 8, 2020 at 6:18 pm
welcome and the kids are adorable. I only have two and that is why most nights I record my shows at 2AM when everyone is asleep and bathroom breaks are not happening.
- MemberOctober 9, 2020 at 6:41 pm
I just joined the Super Squad and yours is the first post I read. My favorite client, Nora W, was just a guest on your podcast. Such a small world indeed. Glad we are both here to learn and grow our podcasts. I just launched mine, The Driven Woman Podcast, in May 2020.

Welcome, Suzy. So fun. Looks like you have your hands full!

Hellooo! I feel like I’ve ticked off a whole bunch of boxes for my podcast except actually doing it. Was anyone else gripped by fear and overwhelm to just begin? Ugh. Anywho, my podcast will be called My Granddaughter’s Planet. It’s an interview style podcast with people from all over the world who are coming up with some really cool ideas on making this world a better place. Most of who are in line with areas of the sustainable development goals put forth by the UN. I’m tired of doom and gloom planet reporting. I think people should get to see and hear about all the really amazing things that people are doing. For instance (this is a dream guest/quest for sometime down the road) did you know that there is a group of people planting trees across the width of Africa in order to assist in regeneration of the regions’ food, land, and climate? The impact of which could change the economics of the entire continent! Sounds nerdy, but it gives me hope that my granddaughter will get to see some really cool things in her lifetime.

Hmm… it appears I got all excited and didn’t actually introduce myself 🤣. I’m Nikki. I live in Montana with my daughter and my new granddaughter. She’s given me a completely new perspective on everything and I hope to encourage the good in this world for her.
Welcome, Nikki!!!! When I 1st started. I wasn’t gripped with fear because I didn’t know what I was getting into – BUT with every show I’ve started since then…yes. For. Sure.
It feels insanely vulnerable.
That said, I do feel it’s totally a personal feeling vs reality? If that makes sense 😬
You will be fine!!!
LOOOOOVE the idea and name of your show.
I think holding the vision of the show close to you and leading with that will help you hold steady when the fear arises – you’re doing this for something much bigger than yourself!
- MemberSeptember 30, 2020 at 12:01 pm
Your passion for changing your Granddaughter’s world sounds greater than your fear, friend. DO IT SCARED!!
- AdministratorSeptember 30, 2020 at 12:39 pm
This is a great idea for a show – and welcome!!!
- MemberOctober 14, 2020 at 2:26 pm
Hey Nikki!! Love love love your podcast idea — I very much feel the same way as you about the “doom and gloom” around sustainability reporting as a sustainability gal, and am also needing a greater variety in style of reporting and general solutions for my mental health as well. I’m doing something in a similar thread but more about individuals taking action on their individual purpose as a vehicle for healing & liberation (and creating sustainability within their desired communities in various ways). I’m so looking forward to seeing what you create!
- MemberOctober 26, 2020 at 8:13 pm
Hi Nikki! Love the concept around your show! I’m with ya on the enough doom and gloom planet reporting. Cheering you on! And yes I’m terrified too- starting a podcast as well. Decided to do it and then froze for a month. Moving again! HA!

My name is Jordan and I co-host “America The Bizarre” with my husband. We discuss untold stories from America’s history. My podcast is coming up on it’s 1 year anniversary and I’m getting to the point where I would really like to turn podcasting from a hobby into a job.
- AdministratorOctober 1, 2020 at 10:40 pm
Happy 1 year anniversary!!!! And that’s a good point to start to look forward toward *building* something. Great timing 👊🏽
The title of your show is awesome!

Congrats on hitting the 1 year mark. That’s amazing!!!! What’s one thing you have learned from podcasting in the past year?
- MemberOctober 1, 2020 at 8:08 pm
Hi hi all!
Total newbie here – looks like I’m in good company. 😅
I’m co-own a doula business in Madison, WI and am a childbirth/newborn care educator w/an online course (Lumos Birth + Baby). I’ve been working professionally with families since 2004, and have been working with my business partner Alli on our current ventures since 2016.
We are looking to launch a podcast late 2020 or early 2021. 🤞🏼 It’ll be 75% pregnancy/birth/parenting and 25% other – or at least that is the current gut feeling.
No name yet. We are aiming do it magazine-style, one main-ish topic and a few different ways of coming at it; and we’d like to batch and release in series w/6-8 topics all related to one other.
I grew up in Bad River, an Ojibwe reservation in northern WI on the shores of Lake Superior. Part of our goal with our business is to create opportunities to be more flexible so my business partner can go back to school and I can work from the northwoods and get closer to home.
I have two book-end kiddos – my big was supposed to be off to college this year but applied for and was granted a gap year, my little is 3 next week.
I love quilting, beadwork, getting out into the woods, and good coffee.
I love learning in community – and have appreciated the ShePodcasts FB group for learning and am excited to be in an even smaller cohort here.

Wow! Book-end babies!
Super impressed by your clarity already. Good for you. The name will come as you move forward.
I’m partial to doulas and midwives. Man do I wish I would have had a doula for my babies ❤️
Good coffee forever!!!!

I’m Karen Jackson, the host and producer of “A Long Look” a podcast about a better way to experience art. Most people think they have to see everything when they visit museums, taking only a few seconds to look at each work. But if you slow down to look at just a few, it can be eye-opening! https://alonglook-slowart.com
I came to podcasting after a long career as a graphic designer and haven’t looked back! She Podcasts has been a big part of my development, so for all you new people, welcome. This group has been amazingly supportive and helpful.
- AdministratorOctober 1, 2020 at 11:20 pm
Fancy seeing you here 😬
I didn’t know about the whole graphic designer thing. Awesome!

Hey all, I started podcasting in late 2018 completely thanks to Jessica. I used to co-host the (ill-fated) Unbelievably Stupid Podcast (yup, that was the name 🤣), and then I launched my current podcast–Melon Buffet–in 2019 with one of my best friends (she’s located in Edinburgh, Scotland). We are just two fan girls who love to talk about our favorite British TV show (Taskmaster), as well as the lives are careers of the actors and comedians involved with the show, and we sprinkle in a bit about our own lives and whatever other tangents and shenanigans we go off on. I keep threatening to start another podcast, and a YouTube channel, but they haven’t materialized yet. Looking forward to making connections and getting inspired here.

I go by Raphie 🤩
I am about to re-launch a revised version of my podcast from earlier this year. I lost everything after a nightmare migration thing. I was pretty mad at the time, but I know this was a blessing.
I know so so much more now.
I am more organized.
I have a lot more content.
🥳 so now time to plan batch recording🥳
Looking reuniting with any of the amazing women I met at PM 19 😉

Man, oh man problem migrations ….. I’m so sorry you went through that! UGH. And kudos for the shift in attitude. You ARE REEEAAADY! 👊🏽

Hello Everyone👋 I’m Yzaura. My podcast is How About A Story where I perform folktales and classic fiction from around the world with fun soundscapes. I just stated my third season for Halloween calling it the Season of Fear lol. I started this podcast as a way to let my creative mind flow and after a year and a half I am still at. So the plan is take it to the next level and see what happens. I not only want to grow this podcast but would like to work more in the podcasting world and make some new connections. So happy to be here.
- AdministratorOctober 3, 2020 at 9:00 pm
I love this so much!
When does your Halloween stuff drop? And If I may ask…is it SUPER scary or could my 12 year old listen?
So glad to have you here!

Hey Elsie 💗 the first one is up it’s La Llorona. There are a lot of scary sounds that pop out. I think 12 is a good age. I would love feedback if they listen.

So cool!!! I was raised with La Llorona eeeeek.

Hi, I’m Deb. My podcast launches in a couple of days (the 10th)…I’m a full-time writer of both fiction (over 10 years/multiple pen names) and after a COVID pivot, business articles (freelance work).
I have a writing website that lets me play with my creative side while I’m working. It’s called Writing Smarter. The podcast is Writing Smarter Radio (I know it’s not radio, but I love the alliteration, so there’s that…word geek that I am.)
I’m in my 50’s, a Jersey girl, and doing my thing the best I’m able. Simple, girl-next-door vibe…and the pod/website is focused on helping new fiction writers with story planning and putting the pieces together without the overwhelm.
- AdministratorOctober 4, 2020 at 1:11 am
This is all so fantastic! And congrats on your launch 💪🏽
I also, love he alliteration 😏

Hi. I’m Allison and developing a podcast with a co-creator and host. The podcast is called “Italy – from the Heart!” and will consist of interviews with Italians about their lives. Our audience is English-speaking travelers.
- AdministratorOctober 5, 2020 at 4:27 pm
I think shows like yours are going to be so important for those of us that don’t get to travel much and that still long to do so! Especially with all the craziness going on in the world

HI!! I’m Arlia Hoffman and I launched my podcast in August. I’d been thinking about it for years, but when I learned to produce them as a part of my day job, it made it much easier to get going!
The Women’s Sanctuary is based on my IRL work with women in counseling and sacred practice. The podcast is a mix of solo episodes where I talk about a topic and interviews with amazing women.
My tag line is, “tending the soul of women and the rise of the Sacred Feminine.” I’m having so much fun with it and am reeeeaaaaally happy for this group to help me grow the show and my skills!
- AdministratorOctober 6, 2020 at 2:52 pm

And do feel free to ask all the questions

Hi there! I’m Shianne and I am a producer/editor for a daily news podcast out of Detroit called…..you guessed it Daily Detroit.
We started the show back in 2017ish as a weekly news show that morphed into what it is today with over 600 episodes.
I didn’t start out as an editor, but at the end of 2018 I made a goal for myself to teach myself how to do editing so I could take some of the work off of our host/ex producer’s plate. And I found my calling.
- AdministratorOctober 6, 2020 at 9:09 pm
Daily DETROIT! Hello, there love!
I love all things about this. All of it. Congrats on the consistency and move to be more of YOU through audio – go Shianne!!!!

Hello, my name is Suzanne and I am the host of the Sit Down With Suzanne podcast. What can I say, call me crazy but I love podcasting. I am about to start season two next week. I have learned a lot along the way but one of the most important things I can tell someone is this, your podcast is a reflection of you and while you should learn from others, don’t create yours exactly like someone else’s no matter how much you admire them.
In season two I am looking to grow my podcast base, and getting sponsors and affiliates but the one thing that won’t change is that it will still be 100% authentically Suzanne, who is perfectly okay with being perfectly imperfect. Looking forward to some great dialogue with this group.
Is the THE Suzanne??? YASSSSSS.
Hello mighty one!!!! Soooooo great to see you here and cast your brilliance onto all all of us. My heart is happy to see you ❤️
- MemberOctober 10, 2020 at 2:31 am
Hello Gorgeous, yes it’s THE SUZANNE, with my sparkles, sequins and crown. I’m really excited to be here and learn from you all. So glad to see you Elsie, congrats on your oh so many accomplishments. I’m excited about the launch of season 2 next week. It’s in my calendar for Arizona, so I’ll spend the time in podcasting world and the fabulous She Podcasts family.

It’s awesome to see all these different topics and ideas. Very neat…shows you there’s something for everyone!
I love that as well!

Hello all! I’m Jenn, and I’ve been in the podcasting game wearing various hats (hosting, production management, a little bit of marketing, stats tracking, etc) since 2010. I’m here because I’ve got some burning questions for my role at work and also because I’m starting an independent podcasting project with a friend soon, and am so excited to finally have a place where I can ask questions and get some feedback from people all over the podcasting ecosystem, rather than just shouting into the Twitter void and drowning in Google searches!
- AdministratorOctober 9, 2020 at 6:19 pm
JENN!!!! You are so in the right place! Congrats on all the things you’re doing in Podcasting 🙏🏽 Can’t wait to get to hear about your project

After being a guest on a number of podcasts over the past few years, I finally pulled the trigger in May and launched The Driven Woman Podcast. I met Jess and Elsie at Podcast Movement in Orlando last year but I was still dicking around and ‘planning to launch.” My goal for season 1 was to create systems and consistency. I just published episode #22 and am about to hit 4k downloads, so I’m mapping out Season 2, to start in November. My favorite topic is all things related to drive, ambition, and motivation in women, and all the obstacles that get in its way. I’m a coach and mentor for entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals who are driven but distracted. So happy to be here for the inspiration, information, and community!
- MemberOctober 10, 2020 at 2:35 am
Welcome and congrats on pulling the plug, sometimes you have to just jump in with both feet and not be afraid to get soaked. Sounds like you’re doing great. Keep doing it and don’t stop having fun. Will check it out.
- MemberOctober 11, 2020 at 11:51 pm
Thanks for the encouragement. The Driven Woman Podcast is new ( I just recorded episodes 24-27 today) there’s plenty of room for valuable feedback. If you’re interested in the topic, I’d be grateful for your feedback. The episodes are 10-15 minutes.
- MemberOctober 15, 2020 at 11:51 pm
I absolutely will, I have some time this weekend as I took the time off to be in Arizona for She Podcasts but I will spend it in the super squad instead and complete some courses.
- MemberOctober 11, 2020 at 11:47 pm
Now that I know I can do it and like doing it, I want to make the show better and have more fun doing it. It was time to get a support network, since I’ve been recording in my closet for the past 5 months and that shit gets lonely. 😅
- MemberOctober 13, 2020 at 12:03 am
I was at PM19 too! Did we meet somewhere along the weekend?

I am an old friend and student of Elsie’s! My podcast is called Age Thoughtfully – Aging Well From 40 Up. Making great decisions starting at 40 to stay vibrant through the long haul. My guests talk about brain health, creativity, cardiac health, mobility, hair, sexuality – all the things!

Hello there! I’m Erin. I am an architect and researcher focused on the roll of design in our health and human connection.
I’ve been hosting the Shared Space podcast for about 3 months now. It has been a lot of fun and I’ve loved hearing from others that enjoy the episodes, but I have to admit I feel lost most of the time and have boundless questions. Haha. So. I come here to learn! 🙂
Thank you! E

Hello everyone!! I’m Dr. Annise Mabry and in 2013, I created Back2Us Radio, the first LGBTQ podcast network. I use to do a weekly Sunday show with my best friend called the Back2Us Show and that show was the foundation for us creating the podcast network.
We went strong for almost 3 years and over 200 episodes with 13 hosts on air podcasting 7 days per week. In 2015, the podcast network was syndicated by Voice Republic. I launched the Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation in 2016 and rolled the podcast network under the foundation. When Sharon and I launched the podcast network, we had two rules (1) podcast airtime would always be free for anyone who identified as LGBTQ who was trying to launch a podcast; and, (2) we would not sell ads or promote other products.
Eventually Sharon fell in love and got married–as did the other hosts on the network and they stopped podcasting. I tried to podcast alone for a while but I’m just not that person. I need a partner.
So that’s why I joined #theSuperSquad. Maybe there’s someone else out there who is looking to launch a podcast but wants a partner.
That’s my backstory. Now a fun fact about the picture below…I was a 2019 Atlanta Pride Grand Marshal AND the first She Podcast conference was held in Atlanta on Pride Weekend so I got to be a grand marshal and present at the conference.

Hi there! I am not sure if this is the right fit…and this is a bit abrupt but I have a podcast idea that I so want to do with a partner…
It may or may not be a good fit but I had to start the conversation.
So happy to meet you in any case.
Looking forward to learning from your experience.

Hey Wendy, I’m also a homeschool mom! What’s your podcast idea?
- MemberOctober 13, 2020 at 1:58 am
Hi! It’s called People are Good. It’s a weekly podcast based on “testing the hypothesis that people are good”
I can tell you more if that sounds interesting?
- MemberOctober 14, 2020 at 10:28 pm
Um – after reading the replies from the admins and doing a bit of googling, I am realizing that I just blindly asked a goddess of podcasting to be a co-host with me!
*feeling brave but a bit naive*
- MemberOctober 14, 2020 at 11:22 pm
LOL @ goddess of podcasting!! People are Good sounds interesting and definitely needed in the world right now. You’ve got my interest…
- MemberOctober 15, 2020 at 2:35 pm
Holy Moly – Well, umm, I made a trailer and it’s already been approved on Apple…I just realized it needed more than “just me”
I have been collecting stories that prove/question the idea that “people are good” or “people aren’t good”
My premise, actually, is that black and white thinking is always toxic and people can do good or bad things based on their environment … and that, actually, we should tend our garden in such a way as to encourage good and discourage “bad” behaviour…
I see the podcast as a dynamic series of conversations where that premise either grows in strength or changes or becomes something else as the series progresses…based on where the conversation meanders…
I am new to podcasting but have been a writer-for-hire for decades…with a brief stint on a Japanese Variety television show…
That’s my pitch…
- AdministratorOctober 14, 2020 at 8:55 pm
Dr. Annise!!!!! Hello powerful one!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Hey there — I started my podcast, Wild and Precious Conversations, on March 1 this year.
I am not sure how many people share this experience, but for me, this project (including a newsletter, courses, a website, bookshop, and apparently whatever else I think up) has opened me up to so many new experiences.
The podcasting part has been really interesting. I said during a pre-interview with a guest/friend that I started the podcast as a way to explore my voice — to find my voice — and in that moment, it all made sense.
I have reconnected to a slew of old friends/colleagues/peers in the mental health field, learned a ton, and gained a lot of confidence, even as my podcast itself still needs a *lot* of work before it becomes “professional”
I’m also mom to 4 boys/men (16, 18, 20, 23) married to a brewmaster/brewery owner for a long, long time 🙂 We homeschooled for 12 years, so during that time, I had to be much, much more pragmatic about work. Now I can follow my passion a bit more.
That said, I do look forward to making money some day (soon?!?)
Excited to be here. Looking forward to learning.
My project is based here: underbel.li
My newsletter/podcast is based here: https://underbelly.substack.com/

Hi all! My name is Marilyn — I’m an embodiment and vitality coach. I’m starting my podcast (still in ideation!) about individual paths of purpose and ways they contribute to the sustainability of our planet from various facets. I studied global health and sustainability and have been through a largely spiritual mental health break / breakthrough so I’d also like to discuss that, different forms of self care and embodiment and my own personal journey through the world of American mental healthcare systems as well as different perspectives of shame, guilt, and “negative” emotions that we experience surrounding our mental wellness experience. So looking forward to connecting with all of you!
- AdministratorOctober 14, 2020 at 9:11 pm
This whole topic gives me life! Good for you Marilyn!!! and welcome!
- MemberOctober 14, 2020 at 10:27 pm
Hi Marilyn — you and I are on the same page in a lot of ways. I’m a Chinese Medicine practitioner/ acupuncturist/ holistic health coach working at the confluence of health and personal development. I see the body as an ecosystem within the larger ecosystem of our culture and planet. My show, A Healthy Curiosity, explores being well in a busy world, with strategies from Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and functional medicine, but also what gets in the way of our being well as women. My rallying cry is “embody self-respect” through our daily actions, honoring our yin, etc.

Ha I feel the gawky kid at the back hanging around waiting for the cool kids to notice me! 🤓
I run a folklore podcast from the north east of England, and outside of the UK, few people have ever heard my accent before. I’m also a former ghost hunter, dark fantasy author, and marketing teacher. Funnily enough, most people think it’s the last one that makes me Mistress of the Dark Arts.
One of these days, I will begin one of my in-person talks like this…
- MemberOctober 14, 2020 at 7:10 pm
HI! What’s your folklore podcast?
I want to start interviewing people on British Folklore and Folk Magic – I’d love to connect

Oh there was drama there…and you’d think the shows like Ghost Hunters International are bad for internal politics!!

Hi there! 👋 I’m Diana. Nice to be here with you all! I co-host a podcast on TV shows and Films📺Although, I’ve been podcasting since 2018, I feel like a newbie. Had no idea what we were doing and have been doing it all ourselves. I started with a co-host and we did about 33 episodes and she had to bow out. I was totally devastated. I felt like this podcast filled my soul! I took me a bit to find another friend who loved and appreciated TV shows and films as much as I did, but I found her and we’ve been doing it ever since. She has young children and her own business, so I carry the load of editing and getting it out there, but have a full time job and a family too, so it’s always about juggling!!! Like all other women! Anyway, I am here to connect with others and learn how to grow our audience, because seriously, I don’t know what I am doing and I want to learn!!! Thank you Elsie and Jess for creating this community!!

Hi! I’m Rebecca-Anuwen, and I’ve been podcasting on and off for years.
I started with an interview show.
Then most recently I had a daily show called Re-Enchant Your Life – 10 minute episodes of daily inspiration.
Daily went to 5 times a week, and then after 300+ shows I stopped.
But my listens/downloads ket growing and growing!! And people kept asking when it was coming back…
So now it’s back, twice a week with a slightly different format. I’m still focusing on the inspiration, but this time with an intuitive twist… I ask people to think of a question they want answering, and then by the end of the 10-ish min show, they’ll have the answer they need -from themselves, with the help of some divination.
I want people to be able to trust themselves again, reconnect with their intuition, so that they can make better choices!
Then I have an idea for an interview show where I want to interview witches, and people who practice folk magic, and who keep folklore alive – particularly those in the UK to start with.
Phew that’s a lot… thanks for reading!

Hey there! I’m Brodie Welch, a Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine educator, and self-care strategist/ health consultant. My show, A Healthy Curiosity: on being well in a busy world, just passed the 200 episode mark. Part health, part personal-evolution, I explore health-optimizing and consciousness-evolving strategies rooted in the traditions of Chinese Medicine, yoga, and Ayurveda along with the cutting-edge research from functional medicine and neuroscience.
Episodes run the gamut form deep dives into hormone balance, gut health, sleep issues, habit change, mindfulness, overcoming anxiety, depression; to addressing what gets in the way of us taking good care of ourselves: perfectionism, people-pleasing, big goals, habits and routines, chronic pain, overwork and overwhelm, boundaries, limiting beliefs, who we think we need to be in late-stage capitalism/patriarchy, etc.
My message these days is about giving people (especially women) permission to take care of themselves, to Embody Self-respect through our daily actions.
Every business coach in the world has told me to niche down. But I a generalist’s generalist, and my zone of genius is in paradigm blending, so the show has remained very broad in its focus.
While I’ve produced the show darn near every week for over 4 years, I don’t put much effort at all into growing my audience. I’m looking forward to remedying that, and to connecting with y’all here in the SuperSquad.
- AdministratorOctober 14, 2020 at 11:50 pm
YAY!!! Hey, I’m a fan of the generalists. I say keep going for it! xoxoxoox
I love all your topics so much. SO MUCH

My name is Heather and I am relaunching my podcast “Wine, Women, and Revolution” on my very own media company. I was in a pretty toxic partnership and am happy to be venturing out on my own. But it feels like I am starting everything over from scratch. I went from a few thousand followers to a couple hundred. So it kinda feels like I am shouting into the void. Looking forward to getting things moving forward and making the best company and podcast I can.
- AdministratorOctober 17, 2020 at 12:45 pm
Glad you’re revamping things up and I’m sure it feels overwhelming but you’ve got this! I can’t say it’s not going to be easy but you can totally do it. 🙏🏽

Hi! I’m Heidi. I have 2 podcast. The first is the Birth Story Podcast which is education through storytelling for preparing for birth. The second is with my friends Nikki and Alissa. We co-host Thanks, It’s The Trauma Podcast which is about a shared and unique trauma we experienced when our husbands came out to us as transgender women. Birth Story Podcast is growing like wild fire and I hope to learn more about how to maximize opportunities with it. With Thanks, It’s The Trauma-we would like help getting the word out so help provide solidarity for others who may be in a similar boat as well as provide affirming love and understanding for the transgender community.
- MemberOctober 16, 2020 at 10:07 am
Hi Heidi! These both sound like great projects! Reading your description I had a thought; it might be more affirming for the transgender community to use the word “partner” rather than “husband”, as the latter is a very gender-specific word.
All of this is some powerful work. Good for you for taking it all on 💪🏽

I have been podcasting since 2006 and consider myself a longtime supporter of She Podcasts.
I will describe my shows very briefly: Brain Science is focused on making neuroscience accessible to listeners of all backgrounds. I try to take a big picture approach to the mystery of how our brain makes us human. This includes questions like consciousness, how memory really works, and why we act the way we do.
When I started in 2006 I actually launched two shows. The other show is called Books and Ideas and features guests from a wide variety of fields. I am proud that Hall of Famers Mur Lafferty, Elsie Escobar and Dr. Pamela Gay have appeared.
My newest effort is Graying Rainbows: Coming Out LGBT+ Later in Life. This show has allowed me to tap into the power of storytelling in a much deeper way.
The reason I joined the new Super Squad is because I want to support Elsie and Jess’s ongoing efforts to build a community for women in podcasting.

Hello All – I’m slowly working my way through the site here, and signed up to try it out as a resource in addition to the other groups I’ve recently met through a podcast accelerator course. My podcast is really new, focused on women of color careerists and multi-hyphenates navigating the work world. I happen to be in the SF area, so a lot of women associated with tech but doing various roles, not just coders. My real goal is to build my empire of women to take over the senate and white house—just kidding! That’s my superheroine talking. I’m here to grow the show, learn from others, and relish in co-creating the future world with other women.

Welcome, Monica! What’s the name of your podcast? Would love to check it out. And also, LOVE “The Fall” 🙂

I’m super thrilled you’re doing this!!!!

Thank you, Elsie! I appreciate the support and also love your energy, persona online, and on air.

Hi all!! I’m Vie (pronounced like the letter Vee) 🙂
I’m a single mom and live in the beautiful mountains of NC.
I am in the beginning stages of starting a podcast which I am either gonna call “The Magic of Selling” or “Selling is Sacred”. (opinions? 😄 )
This will be a podcast to explore radical new understanding around money, value exchange and asking for and receiving support.
Questions I will be exploring with guests will include… How can we trust in ourselves, each other, and in an abundant universe? What goes on in the energetics of a sale or exchange of value? What is right relationship and how do we practice what we preach from start to finish in a transformation-focused business?
Part of this will include interviewing people who utilize different exchange structures such as the gift economy, sliding scales, pay what you can, and others, discussing the opportunities and challenges that people have experienced along the way implementing these various approaches and guiding philosophies. My great hope is that these discussions will help in freeing us to show up in alignment with our highest values as we offer our gifts and work in the world.
My knees are shaking as I start out on this journey!! Happy to have found this lovely supportive space.
I’m excited to be here!!

Hey, I’m Marie. I work in Law Enforcement. I joined and lost all of my confidence and compared myself and my abilities to that of the men around me. Later, once I regained my confidence, I started Ordinary to Badass (blog and podcast). I realized it’s not an object, like a weapon, a motorcycle, or a leather jacket that makes you a Badass, it’s all about confidence and mindset.
I’m currently 65 episodes in and loving it. Never could have pictured myself doing this.
If anyone is starting out podcasting and struggling with tech reach out. I’ll help in any way possible because that was me lol.
To your Badassery,

Now that I have finished Season 1, which was all solo shows, I am adding special guest interviews, client success stories, Ask Diann Anything episodes, and more. I’m a psychotherapist turned mindset and productivity coach for ambitious but distracted female entrepreneurs. Looking for podcast hosts who want to do a content collaboration and have expertise of interest to my audience. My podcast is called The Driven Woman. Have a listen and message me if you think we are a good fit.
- AdministratorNovember 16, 2020 at 3:10 pm
“Ambitious but distracted” I think that’s me, although I don’t identify as ambitions, more passionate 😬
What kind of expertise do you think interests your audience?

Hello everyone! I’m Tara Schafer and very new to podcasting. I have only just recorded a small introduction. But so far loving it and learning tons here. Would love some honest feedback. The link to my podcast can be found on my profile.
I would also love to check out your creative visions. Let me know where I can find your podcast. Thanks

Hello everyone. I am so excited to be part of the She Podcasts community. I’ve been part of the Facebook group for a while now and just signed up for a membership here. I am in the process of developing a new show that focuses on art and history along Route 2 in the northern tier of Massachusetts. We are close to kicking things off but I’ve been busy setting up the infrastructure. My last step includes joining this magnificent group. Cheers to all from Massachusetts.
- AdministratorDecember 1, 2020 at 9:16 am
MARIE!!!! So glad to have you here!!!
And how cool is your upcoming project! The specificity alone made it stand out so clearly to me. What ARE the last steps that you feel you need for your infrastructure?

I’ve been podcasting just over a year and I love it more by the day. My true crime podcast is a weekly, interview format show called DIE-ALOGUE: a true crime conversation. Each week I interview a fascinating person from the true crime world ( journalists, authors, podcasters) or a field expert in the criminal justice system. ( defense attorneys, Law enforcement, Prosecutors, cult experts, etc.) and we explore the genre of true crime itself as well as examine the themes found at the heart of most true crime stories. My tagline is: KILL THE SMALL TALK. Start a DIE-ALOGUE.
I decided to join because I think I have reached the end of my own ideas to monetize and propel my show forward. I have a lot in place and am making progress, but I am at the point where I need to learn more so I can take it to the next level.
happy to be here and learn with you all!
- AdministratorDecember 1, 2020 at 9:23 am
Rebekah, cool tagline. And your take on this True Crime is awesome.
Take advantage of our QAs and the coaching that Traci does for sure! I’ll be doing my QA today at 2 pm EST (you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to get whatever Q you have in!)
And if you miss it, no worries as we’ll be back next week!
We’re working on creating the most helpful ways to get you to where you wanna go, so don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly here or email@example.com so we can act on what you need!

Hi! I’m Helen and I’m a new podcaster from New Zealand. I have a background in journalism and launched a podcast a few months ago. I’m keen to learn more, improve and tap into a supportive community. My podcast is called ‘The C Word: Kiwis Talk About Cancer’. I had breast cancer in 2018 and wanted to create something where people could connect to a shared experience. I’m trying to get some feedback about what people works and what could be improved. Is there a forum for this? Looking forward to meeting more of you. Helen
- AdministratorDecember 1, 2020 at 9:28 am
Wow! Thank you for coming in here, Helen! Super honored to have you here!
I think that what you asked for is something that is for sure needed. I’ve been looking for a good way to get that happening so that it’s helpful to all.
Feel free to reach out to me directly here! I’ve been compiling ideas so that we can implement some great initiatives next year!

Hi!! I’ve had my show Diabetes Connections since June 2015 and will crank out episode 338 this week! I can’t say enough good stuff about the support and help of ShePodcasts. I’m actually branching out in 2021 to start a course about selling ads in your podcast.. I come from news talk radio where live reads were part of the job, so it was an easy transition into podcasting. Look forward to connecting more here! Oh, my son marks 14 years with type 1 diabetes this week, which is why I started my show in the first place!
- AdministratorDecember 1, 2020 at 9:30 am
LOOOOVE YOU STACEY!!!! And OMGosh if anyone can create a course on selling ads on your podcast it’s YOU.
Folks, Stacey walks the walk. She has consistently sold her show ON HER OWN, her way. I for one cannot wait!

Hey, everyone! I signed up a bit ago and forgot to introduce myself. I’m slowly putting together my passion project of a podcast which combines my love for storytelling, folklore, and food. I’m glad to be here with all of you. ❤

OMGosh. Those three things are amazing! storytelling, folklore and FOOD! Glad you’re here, Shannon!

Hi, my name is Meredith. I am hoping to launch my podcast in February with the first three episodes. I live in the Chicago area and recently left a 20 year career in the Insurance industry (underwriting everything from paranormal investigators to the largest companies in the world) to pursue my dream of becoming an actor. I have been working towards doing a voiceover demo for acting, and for practice, I thought it would be fun to start a podcast using my Insurance background and my BA/MA in History. My podcast is about how insurance has affected and changed history. The podcast/research part of it is less intimidating than the branding and marketing part AND the editing part, but I am excited to learn! Glad to see so many people in different parts of their podcasting journey and I hope we can all learn from each other!
- AdministratorDecember 1, 2020 at 6:11 pm
Wow! Meredith! LOVE your journey. And all the things that you’re doing. YOU GO! Well, reach out with whatever you need.
And every bit of creating a podcast informs so much about well…so much. Glad to have you here!

Hi everyone! I am Charlotte and my podcast is the Caregiver Connection Podcast. I am a caregiver for my husband who has had Thyroid cancer for the past 7 years and I started the podcast this year in order to let other family caregivers know that the things they are not alone in the things that they are going through or the thoughts and emotions they have. It started out with me talking about specific topics and then in November I got brave and started having people come on with me.
Thing is I literally picked up a microphone I had at home (at least it was a blue yeti), set up a libsyn account, hid in my closet, pressed record on garage band and sent it out into the world without knowing much about podcasting.
So I’m circling back around to learn all the things I probably should have known. You know like – how to process the audio before actually sending it out. Learning how to know how many people are subscribed to your podcast.
So, I’m super excited to be here and very grateful that you have created this space for us!
- AdministratorDecember 6, 2020 at 8:46 pm
Lady, you are awe inspiring! So glad that you are here, and please do reach out if you need any clarification or have any questions! That’s why we are here!!! our QAs can be a great place to start when getting specific little answers to random things 😉
Hope that your husband is doing as best as he can 🙏🏽

Hi! I’m 6-weeks into being a podcaster and am so excited to have found this community! I went through a tough period a few years ago (I know, who doesn’t) which resulted in my interviewing a person a week for 52-weeks, a “why are we here” type of quest. People divulged such good stuff over the course of a year and there were so many common themes, I felt I had to share the messages. While I’m writing the book, I created a website, 52 WEEKS OF HOPE, put some of the chapters up and started a podcast and am having the best time interviewing peeps. It’s just way more time-consuming then expected and I’m a bit lost on some of the details, so I’m looking forward to meeting you guys and getting some direction! 💕 I do have a very busy day job that I’ve always loved, but now loving this waaaaayyyyyy more 👍
- MemberDecember 31, 2020 at 6:50 am
Oh my, so many wonderful women and podcasts here. I’m so lucky to have found this community. I’m Vikki, I’m in the UK and I’m a Pinterest Marketing Manager and a very newly trained Podcast Manager. I may start my own podcast one day but I’m very Introverted, it’s not the right time for me yet. I absolutely love supporting others, my goal for 2021 is to help 10 women launch their own podcasts and get their voices out there and heard. I’m listening to business and self development related podcasts at the moment. Feel free to send me a link to your own podcasts to listen to. Happy New Year to you all. Vikki x

Heyyyyyy SUPER SQUAD!!!
Turns out I have been here since August but thought I only just signed up with my GALENTINE ticket to She P LIVE in the fall – WOOP WOOP!!
I am Casey, I started podcasting in 2014 after going through a program with Elsie, Jess and Natalie Eckdahl holding my hand through my launch. It was awesome.
My show is about parenting – conscious parenting and being a human being in the world while raising kids – my focus in the last few years has been on the teen years because I am in the THICK of that!
Shout out to all the E-Leaguers in here! I love community and am grateful to be in this space with you all. Attached is a picture of my two kids…. My daughter says she is making a unicorn horn, and not flipping me off…. No shortage of content over here!!! HA!
- MemberFebruary 16, 2021 at 12:15 am
And whoa – that is a very big picture!!😳

Hi!! I’m Nathalie and my podcast is Infinitely Irrational. I was a theatre major who switched to be a math major, but fell in love with stories behind the math – these mathematicians and their stories are awesome! And I started sharing these stories with my students and realized they loved the stories too – they’re wild!! I was doing my podcast with my friend but after I switched jobs, we fell out of touch and it’s been really tough for me to get started again because losing the friendship hurt a lot. I took a break from last June to now (also because the new job has kept me busy!!) but I’m about ready to start recording again. I’m so excited about getting back into it. I’m here to learn from and connect with all you amazing people and to continue the momentum so when I start to flounder, I know I have the community 🙂
